Brush Away, Baby!
by Jonvieve Dunning

i indeed think that some things need to be commerated. most people decide to thank people for their dedication, or being there during the hard times in one's life. most people choose people, or in some cases animals or plants for such commeration. but i feel that some things go without recognition for far too long. like my toothbrush for instance. have you ever pondered just what it must be like to be a toothbrush? do you ever think about all that dedication to go where no one should ever go in the morning?! oh, the humanity!! to be forced to enter someone's mouth when all that evil bacteria has mutated in to such horrid shapes, and wave to you. to enter a foul place in which you , and your trusty sidekick fluoride must battle the very epitome of everyone's morning breath. sheesh, your parents would not even attempt such a thing!

I wake up every morning and take a shower, then brush my teeth. i never ask how my toothbrush is doing, or how much toothpaste he would like on his face today. i never say hi, or so how was last night with my little sisters' toothbrush. did they get it on or anything? and just how would such a thing ever happen? i never even ask if he is willing to be put up to brushing my teeth today? what if he was one of those toothbrushes who was merely born into such a lowly social status. what if he would want to take a stand and say "NO! i will not take anymore of this injustice! i want to be me! i want to mowing lawns for a living and to be able to eat nachos with a guy names paco!!! yes, i too want to have a life instead of being shoved into a mouth every stinkin'day, then only to be hung by my neck in a cold hole." maybe we should think about those things instead of being completely selfish and self-centered and say, "gosh-nabit! it is only a toothbrush. it brushes teeth for pete's sake!" well what about pete! being cursed at all these years! you naughty fellow people. maybe we should think about pete! for his own sake! so please people take a good look around you. and just think about what's really going on here. we are not just frosted flakes gathering up milk and sinking down to the bottom of the bowl! we are upstanding citizens who merely forget to thank those who do the little things in life that make everyone else's day just that much better.

Jonvieve Dunning is a silly little freak who eats bubble gum when she wants to blow bubbles, but i hate to blow bubbles because they pop too much when you blow them really big. she lives behind a door in my room and likes to eat little 800k floppies because they are soo old they are crispy. social status is compared to a dead frog and silly sizzle-fizzle freakazoid in paranormal solitude-like circumstances describes my character.
