From Nest to Rest

by Nicholas Wolfe
(danish with apple slices)

Artist's Statement:
The baby bird shape represents a metaphor for the fragility of life and the perpetual ornithian cycle of consumption and regurgitation. Nurtured by its mother, it, too, will grow someday: singing a joyous twitter and continuing the cycle of digestion with its own offspring. Ironically, this piece has cleverly been realised completely in unregurgitated food. The world has learned to love again.
