I was sitting here, minding my own business, when a completely
random thought had the audacity to invade my pondering. It just popped
in my head and said, "Here I am. Pay attention to me." Well it didn't
really say that, but, well, you know what I mean. And would you like
to know what that random thought was? Yeah, well so would I. I just
forgot it...
Did you ever notice that when you want to talk about something
and you finally get an audience to listen, you forget what you wanted to
say in the first place? That happens to me all of the time (not quite,
but almost). So, I started thinking that maybe I have a memory problem.
But I'm pretty sure I'm too young for serious memory malfunctions.
I also noticed that when one is really bored one can never think
of anything to do. Yeah, I know that's not a very ground breaking
observation, but when you consider it, it's pretty strange. Because, I,
for one, know that when I'm having a really horrible, downright lousy
time doing something, I can always come up with tons of things I'd rather
be doing. So I decided that the next time I am having a really horrible,
downright lousy time doing something, I'm going to make a list of things
I'd rather be doing. And my list will be called, "Things I'd Rather Be
Doing when I'm Having a Really Horrible, Downright Lousy Time Doing
Something." And the next time I'm bored, and therefore am unable to
conjure up any ideas whatsoever, I'll refer to my handy dandy list.
Hey -- it's a really good thing that I wrote that idea down,
because the way my memory's been lately, I just might forget. ;)
